Melissa Stewardson Photography, located in Orange County, CA and established in 2012 specializes in custom portraits of maternity, newborns, children and families. Experiencing a photo session with me should be fun and relaxing. I know what you're thinking...did she say fun and relaxing?! Am I crazy?! I don't think so. My goal for each session is to shoot photos that look natural and highlight the personalities and vibrancy of the people in them. While, I will shoot some traditional poses, I feel some of the best photos come during candid play or general foolishness! Time flies by so fast so let me capture your family memories today! I can't wait to get to know you and show you what I see through my lens!
It’s such a dream when a mom comes to me with an awesome idea for their photo session. This mom knew exactly what she wanted, down to the clothes, decor and cake. And I just love how it all came togehter. Not to mention her kids are gorgeous as well!
When Lorika originally emailed me about having a session, it was going to be primarily for some head shots for a website for her new business. But as we talked she realized she wanted some family photos too. And OMG….I am so glad she decided that. Her family photos came out so beautifully. And equally as gorgeous were the shots we got for her website.
Newborn photography can be very challenging. Lots of soothing, patience, potty accidents and a sore back! But, some days you get super lucky and get a baby like Amelia! Such a precious little doll face and her parents were just the nicest.
Andrew is the baby all newborn photographers dream about! Sleepy, smiley and he had perfect creamy skin! What a little love bug he is and his parents were so great as well. What a fantastic session we had!
Miss Zoe was born at only 35 weeks old, but proved to be such a strong little girl. She was only in the NiCU for 10 days and she came to my studio at 20 days old and already up to 6 pounds. She has the cutest little face and most perfect features. And can we just talk about how adorable her big broter, Caleb is? The sibling shots we did are absolutely priceless!
Of course I had to do a blog post about this adorable family! As a newborn photographer, getting to photograph twins is super exciting, but also a big challenge. These little baby girls were so good to me during their session. Slept like little champs and hardly made a peep. The result was being able to get a bunch of shots of them together, as well as some individual shots of each of them as well. And the family shots literally gave me chills as I was taking them. A special shout out to Jessica McKimmey and Jessica McKimmey Photography for assisting during the session!
Getting the chance to meet new families is one of the best parts of being a photographer. And I love it when it’s a small world thing, when you begin chatting and realize you know some of the same people. What a privilege it is getting take photos for people and making new friends at the same time. Gorgeous Madison was just perfect and big brother was SO proud!
